Seth and I arrived home from our trip to Virginia on the afternoon of Winnie's birthday. The kid had spent the entire day alone because Miriam left early (EARLY) in the morning to go down to Logan for a marching band competition (during which she got rained on for the entire day, poor kid). So after getting home, we took this kid out for her first teenager birthday dinner. When our kids are teenagers, they get to pick anywhere to go to lunch/dinner with Mom and Dad. Winnie's choice? Costco for pizza.

Then getting boba milky potions from the mall. It was our first time trying out this delicacy, but Winnie had been dying for boba for a long time.
Winnie reading My Neighbor Totoro, a manga based on her favorite movie. We bought it for her from Barnes and Noble while we were at the mall on her birthday.
Then on Sunday, October 12, we had our usual birthday dinner and cake with family.

Ana finally receiving her graduation present: a T-shirt quilt that includes all the shirts she picked out. I probably could have had it finished by the time she started college if I hadn't had a wedding to prepare for.
