Hunting camp

 Another fall, another hunting season.

We took both of our dogs with us to camp this year. Again, the amount of dogs at this camp was overwhemingly ridiculous. We had two; Grandma Susan and Grandpa Dennis had two; Doug had one; Chelsey and Lakota had three. Peach did her usual thing of steering clear of all the craziness by spending a lot of the day close to us or hiding under our trailer. Dixie, on the other hand, was extremely anxious around all the new dogs and got into a kerfuffle with one of Chelsey's. (I stand by my opinion that their dog went after our dog first.) Unfortunately, their dog ended up a little bit bloody, but they couldn't tell where the blood was coming from because her fur is so fluffy and dense. Chelsey and the dogs ended up going home a little earlier than we did, so that made things a little easier for us.

Other than the stress over introducing our anxious dog to all these new animals, we had a lovely time in the great outdoors. Our family was at camp for all of Labor Day weekend (with a quick trip to Mack's Inn to go to church on Sunday), and then Seth went up a few other weekends to do some more hunting. Winnie's hunters' ed sparked an interest in hunting, so she went out with Seth a few times.

I don't remember why she was making this face, but I still find it funny.
