Imagine waking up to a 3-year-old coming in your room at 3 a.m.
Imagine your husband getting up to see what the matter is.
Imagine hearing the 3-year-old throwing up followed by the husband picking her up and dashing into the bathroom.
Imagine having cream-colored carpet in your bedroom.
Imagine what color the throw-up would be if the 3-year-old had eaten spaghetti and drunk strawberry Crystal Light the night before.
Imagine how much time, elbow grease and chemicals would go into cleaning up the spaghetti sauce and strawberry juice throw-up from your cream-colored carpet.
Seth and I don't need to imagine such circumstances.
The one bright side of the whole incident is that Bekah wasn't really sick; she had just eaten too much spaghetti. We know this because while we were on our hands and knees cleaning up, she was jumping on our bed and saying things like, "Hey! What's all the commotion?" and "Daddy, don't you know that your body is a temple?" Not at all the way a sick 3-year-old would act.
Luckily for you, your imagination will have to suffice when it comes to picturing Bekah's technicolor yawn. We neglected to take pictures.
