Rebekah's hunt

Seth accidentally put Rebekah in for a hunt halfway across the state, so when she drew on it, we traveled to the region and tried desperately to find antelope. Grandma Susan, Grandpa Dennis and Analee accompanied us on our wild antelope chase.

We didn't spot any before lunch, but when we saw a coyote running up a hill, Seth grabbed his gun in time to shoot the second one we saw.

Seth wounded the coyote from a short ways away, and it hid in the rocks. Seth approached it carefully and finished the job.

After that bit of excitement, we drove around for a while longer, went far enough south to eat lunch in Nevada (it was so cold we made our sandwiches and jumped back in the cab of the truck to eat them), then spent more time searching for antelope.

We finally spotted a few in a farmer's field, and by the time we got permission to shoot at them, they had moved out of the field. We tracked them for a while, but they gave us the slip. So we bit the antelope adieu and headed east again to look for deer in another region.

We didn't spot any of those before it got too dark, so we drove home. Poor Rebekah developed a bug that day and spent a lot of time curled up in the back seat while we drove around. Regardless, we had a fun time together.
