Although Bekah had done this hike earlier in the season with a couple of trombone friends, she didn't protest when we decided to take the whole family on it on Saturday, August 22.
Grandma and Grandpa Scott accompanied us as we hiked the 9 miles to and from the lake. Bekah borrowed one of our cans of bear spray so she and the other two girls could hike ahead. Winnie's strength petered out toward the end of the trek back, so part of the time Grandpa held onto her hiking stick and pulled her along the trail.
